Jason loves creating things he enjoys and selling them to others like him. He started out selling stereo equipment and cordless phones and now sells software to help teams work better.

The very first thing we did when segmenting your customers is a task that involves we started Salesflare was read his first book, almost a manifesto, called Getting Real, which shaped a lot of our early thinking at Salesflare. So I’m really excited to have him on the show.

We talk about the right way to work remotely, why he prioritizes sustainable growth over investor-driven growth, and how to apply stoicism in life and business.

Good morning.

Jeroen:

We’re so excited to have you here sms to data at Founder Coffee and today we’re even recording this interview.

Jason:

Sure. We’ve been working on Basecamp for about 20 years. The product has been around for 16 or 17 years. For most people, Basecamp is a project management tool. You don’t need four or five or six separate tools that are trying to fit together just to make a project work, and that’s the whole point of Basecamp.
