For those who also want to have ideas for muscle exercises but also for PPG! there is a very good video made by the Besançon hope center where various approaches are presented (thanks to !)
Besides that! I will also focus
my preparation more on running. Even if I
am not 100% sure of the results! my reading of V.Billat’s latest Flavien Soenen book on pace changes
made me want to try to impact my VO2max through running. His
acceleration/deceleration method seems easier to implement than
in cycling. After having developed a certain endurance and muscular efficiency
in this discipline! I would like to try to develop VO2max there and Flavien Soenen exceed the current value obtained by cycling. In any case! for a cyclist who does little
running! it must be interesting to also change the muscular work at
high intensity.
The efficiency is precisely higher in running
The number of muscle groups used is greater and therefore the impact on the cardiac VES
(stroke volume) is also higher. This is why we reach
higher VO2max (like in skating) in this country email list sport compared to cycling for
example. If the VES rises! the VO2max rises! but will the PMA follow? That is
my question! After discussing with Julien Pinot! it does not seem
so obvious because for him it is more at the level of the muscle cells that the use of oxygen reaches its limits.
There will be a limitation here rather than at the level of the VES… But as already said! it
nevertheless brings diversity to the sessions!! Something very important in
winter preparation…
My goals being far off and still set for June! this gives me time to look
back. In any case! here’s something to marketing today must count on real-time personalization suggest to my followers other
alternatives for 2015! if all this works out. You have to constantly innovate and
challenge yourself.
So here are the main points for the next few weeks
strength training! running/trail running! snowshoeing!
skiing (70%) and finally a little cycling (30%). Enough be numbers to get through the return to work with
diversity without leaving too much energy in cold outings on a bike. The latter will gradually take over from other disciplines as the season progresses.
