Marek Tyrlík and his experiences in the USA

Since one of the advantages of working at Enehan is a home office (although in this case more of an “abroad office” )! our colleague Marek Tyrlík was able to go to the USA for half a year and work overseas. It was definitely an interesting experience for him and for us! which is why we decided to share these observations and experiences.

Monday

I really needed a new computer and since Apple is so gambling data china  prevalent in the US! I gave in to peer pressure and bought one. I’m still getting used to the smaller screen! different keyboard and faster speed.

Tuesday

I worked from home in the morning as usual and after lunch I went to the Salesforce bootcamp at the Sheraton in Downtown. I paid about 125 crowns for the approximately half-hour Uber ride.

The entire bootcamp was related to the issue of using Salesforce in transport and logistics. From my own experience in logistics for one of the largest food companies in the world! I was able to imagine the benefits that implementing Salesforce would have for tracking! reporting! and overall overview in transport.

After registering! I went through presentations of individual  reasons to have a corporate websitecompanies and their applications! along with applications directly from Salesforce developers. I was interested in Quip! for example – a kind of Google Drive on steroids.

The keynote speech block was too long for me! but the content was quite interesting. They talked about topics such as Blockchains in Transport and the 4th Industrial Revolution. Only about a third of people remained for networking! so I took a local beer “Sweet Water” (despite the name! it was quite tasty) and joined the others who survived the 2.5 hour lecture block.

Wednesday
What initially seemed like a classic day with a clear plan – finishing the changes in Salesforce for Productboard – went a little wrong after lunch… I needed to help prepare a stress test for another client. I had no fixed plans for the evening! so I was happy to lend a hand. I have to say that when I went to bed late at night! I admired my colleagues overseas! how much they were able to do! considering that they had 6 hours more time than I did in Atlanta.

Thursday
After yesterday’s performance! I slept much longer  thailand data than usual (until about 8) and started deploying major changes for Productboard! which I didn’t want to deploy in a hurry the day before! so that I could catch any errors early on! and not leave it to my colleagues in Prague. Well! nothing went wrong and nothing stopped working! so everything went according to plan and by the end of the day I was monitoring whether everything was working as it should while working on the integration documentation for Carvago. And it is working

Then I just sent a standard report to Prague with questions that arose during the day and off to the store to get something for dinner. It fell through for today.

Friday
A very interesting day. Right after the alarm clock went off! I was scared that the internet wasn’t working! because I wasn’t woken up by classical music from Spotify! but by the annoying default beeping! and what was even stranger! I didn’t have any e-mails or messages from Prague. While having my morning coffee and checking the news! I figured out what it was – today is Good Friday! a holiday! which I never thought could happen. Well! I was already in a working mood! so I threw myself into further integrations for Carvago!ax which I did quite well and that moved one web service closer to its goal.
