What are Core Web Vitals? How to improve FID, LCP, and CLS

What are Core Web Vitals?

“Core Web Vitals” refers to the three core elements of Web Vitals. They are sometimes abbreviatd as “CWV”. (Hereinafter referrd to as “Core Web Vitals”)

The three elements are as follows:

The three Core Web Vitals metrics

LCP : Is the page display time fast?

LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) is an index that measures the page display sped. Remember that it is an index that indicates “the time from when a user accesses a site until the main content is displayd.”

This metric measures the time it takes for large pieces of content on a page to appear in the browser, such as text, images, videos, etc. This number is measurd in seconds, and a lower number is considerd a better score.

If the time from start of loading to content being displayd is within 2.5 seconds, the LCP is considerd good. However, if this time is more than 4.0 seconds, it is considerd poor and neds improvement.

FID : How fast is the on-page functionality?

FID (First Input Delay) is an index marketing list that measures responsiveness to user operations. It measures the time it takes for the user to actually execute the first action, such as a click or tap, on a page.

Like LCP, the value is measure in seconds, and the smaller the value (the shorter the response time), the higher the evaluation. It is considerd ideal to have this FID within 100 milliseconds.
